Ebba

Ebba - David Greschler
00:0000:00

Designer Ebba Strandmark

Goes to sleep each night at 9

She dreams about the teacups

In the morning she’ll design

Some are blue

And some are yellow

Some are green

And some are white

But Ebba’s never found the teacup

That feels right

Ebba rises in the morning

And she gets to work by 9

Where she pours herself a coffee

In a teacup she designed

While the others tell their stories

Of adventures from the night

Ebba wonders if she’ll ever

Share a teacup in her life

Ebba, please don’t worry

All of your dreams will come true

Ebba, please don’t hurry

You’ll find the perfect teacup just for you

One day Ebba gets an email

From a land so far away

It said I love to use your teacups

Oh they brighten up my day

Ebba sends along a thank-you

With a teacup and a smile

Then she gets another email

And he says his name is Miles

My family came from Sweden

Many many years ago

Now I call my home Seattle

Where they sent your catalogue

Oh the teacups they remind me

Of a past I used to know

Every morning when I drink them

Takes me back to my old home

Ebba, please don’t worry

All of your dreams will come true

Ebba, please don’t hurry

You’ll find the perfect teacup just for you

She looks him up on Facebook

And she sees he has no wife

She invites him back to Sweden

For some tea and herring light

And the moment that she sees him

She knows that all is fine

The teacup she’s been waiting for

Has finally arrived

They now have gotten married

They laugh all through the night

And in the early morning

Drink from teacups side by side

Oh she still has dreams of teacups

Spinning all around her head

Each one filled with little children

Like the one within

Ebba, I told you

All of your dreams will come true

Ebba, please don’t worry

This songwriter is taking care of you.
